Job Summary
Provides executive support to the District Attorney. Manages the fiscal functions, time and attendance and protected leaves for the District Attorney’s Office. Coordinates the Willamette Criminal Justice Council. Maintains the departmental website.

Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
  • Associate’s degree or two year technical certificate in finance, public administration, criminal justice or closely related field; AND
  • 5 years of progressively responsible administrative or related support experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.
Special Requirements
  • A cover letter is required to be submitted with your application. The cover letter should describe the top 3 strengths of an exceptional executive assistant and examples from your work experience that demonstrate these attributes.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in the MS Office Suite programs required (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
  • Valid Oregon Driver's License, or ability to obtain.
  • This position requires driving and may require use of a personal vehicle.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in a criminal justice field preferred
  • Experience with governmental budgets preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and managers

Benton County (pop. 93,053; 679 sq. mi.) is in the middle of the Willamette Valley, with Corvallis (pop. 61,027) as the county seat. Established in 1847, nearly 12 years before Oregon became a state in 1859, the county is the state’s fourth smallest in terms of area and medium-sized with respect to population.
